Mt Harmukh is a mountain with the peak elevation of 5,142 metres, in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. Harmukh is part of the Himalaya Range and is located between Sind River(Ganderbal) in the south and Kishanganga River(Bandipora) in the north, rising above Gangabal Lake in the vicinity of Naranag valley located in Ganderbal district.It has the two routes from which it can be visible from,one from naranag and another one from sonamarg which is also known as"The Great Lakes Trekk". Harmukh is the Mounain from which K2(The second highest mountain peak with an elevation of 8,611 metres)was discovered by Col T.G Montgomerie in 1856.The last time it was climbed was in 2015 by the team of alpine adventurers led by The Mountain Man of Kashmir Adil Shah.
